On the dow is there any particular reason you have chosen the Log chart?

Hi Chew
I chose a log chart because we are comparing moves from 1932 to date. Hence comparing moves arithmetically would not produce any meaningful results.

On the S&P analysis you called the Oct recent low ‘a spring or a 313′….
Am I old school in thinking that a 313 requires developement in the next lower timeframe, not just a spike low?
If you have the time/inclination an overview of the US30 year bonds would be appreciated.
It has an upthrust (albeit >20%) out of a large SW pattern, and is now doing developement in a lower timeframe, ie daily inside bars. If this is a 313 it fits the inflation scenario in my mind.
It could also be a new IPM….fits deflation scenario?
ANyway, your thoughts wouuld be welcome.

You are right. Strictly speaking the price action is a RePo. But I try to steer clear of finer distinctions for the the blog.
