How often is a prime piece of real estate donated to charity?
The Dover Park Hospice is devoted to caring for the terminally ill when families can no longer care for the dying loved ones. The hospice steps in to provide the care needed at very little cost to the family. It’s partially funded by the Singapore Government (30% of annual operating costs) and the rest by private donations.
It’s never easy to find funding, especially in these times. So when someone steps up and provides prime real estate for a cause, it makes the news - see the attachments.
The Dover Park Hospice is auctioning the real estate. If you are inclined to make a bid, contact “Han Boon Kwang” at <han@doverpark.o
I have reproduced the front page and inside page of the Straits Times today where the article appeared.
